After all the press surrounding my last post, I had to do something. Instead of confirm or deny anything, I decided to do something. Something big. I’m presenting the final release of MobileNotifier that I’ll have a part in before my absence.

Taking a break, This was Peter Hajas (the head developer of MobileNotifier Beta 5) voiced upon his blog.

MobileNotifier: It is an iOS mod released this year, which:
  • Replaces the iPhone’s standard push notifications.
  • Includes several bug fixes and performance boosts, as well as several major new features.
  • Display SMS messages as they arrive as You can:
  1. Tap on the “New SMS” notification
  2. Reply to the message immediately
  3. Saving quite a lot of precious time.
  • There are also several user interface changes:

  1. The biggest and more prominent of which being a new Dashboard
  2. With a new look and better alert management: users are now able to delete all notifications with a “Clear All” button. Notification pop-ups now have an “X” button as well, allowing users to simply tap it to dismiss the notification forever and not have it queue up on the dashboard.

This tweak can be downloaded from Peter Hajas’ Cydia repository, phajas.xen.prgmr.com/repo.

tip from an Apple employee at Cupertino said Peter Hajas have recently been hired by Apple and taken out of the jailbreak community to work on push notifications in an upcoming version of iOS.

At the end of Peter’s blog post about discontinuing development of MobileNotifier, he ends with the line, “Stay hungry and stay foolish.”

“Stay hungry and stay foolish.” Story:
In the 2005 Standford graduation speech, Mr. Steve Jobs himself was the keynote speaker. Steve Jobs ended his speech with a quote from the last edition of Whole Earth Catalogue. Guess what the tagline was?

    “Stay hungry. Stay foolish.”

Steve Jobs explained that the message behind that tagline has been what he has “always wished for myself.” Check out this video of the speech. The phrase is mentioned by Jobs at about the 13:50 mark.

No one knows if a tweak’s growth will continue or not?, it is now in a “hands” of Kyle Adams, Tim Novinger.

Most have been wondering because Hajas done such a remarkable depart whilst giving so small report as to because he won’t stay upon a plan any some-more or what he’ll be you do in a future:

Hajas has published a demo video with additional details:
