It is being speculated that Apple is planning to release a new line of AirPort and Time Capsule wireless networking devices. Reports on the internet indicate that many Apple Retail stores do not have any stock remaining as of now.
Reports are that some Apple Retail Stores are completely out of AirPort Express, Airport Extreme and Time Capsule units whereas at some locations only Time Capsule units have been sold out. Allegedly, a store employee has said that there will be no further shipment arriving of these units.
It is possible that at WWDC 2011 next week, Apple announce the new Airport device inventory alongside other announcements which include iOS 5, Mac OS X Lion and iCloud.
We already know that there is no iPhone being released at WWDC 2011, so are the AirPort devices going to be the only new hardware that Apple has to announce it its developer event? The trend of product stock ending and shipments ceasing of products at Apple Stores has previously been seen when new devices are released, so maybe we should cross our fingers for refreshed AirPort Express, AirPort Extreme and Time Capsule devices now?
