For a while there was no app that competed with Flipboard which is an app that collects news of different genres from a different sources. Now AOL has released Editions, an iPad Magazine which seems be a real Flipboard competitor.
Editions grabs the data from your social feeds which includes Facebook and Twitter and puts it into a styled magazine. It uses the in-app browser to render the news articles, So it can retain the format and the ads in the original post.
