Reuters has reported back in April that Apple will start the production of the new iPhone this summer to be launched in September. Today Reuters is providing more details of what will become of the current model.

According to their sources, Apple will remain still to sell iPhone 4 as the lower-end model along with the iPhone 5. The iPhone 4 will feature only 8GB of memory to allow selling at cheaper prices.
As for the iPhone 5, Reuters believes that it will not vary greatly from the current one in shape, but will have a slightly bigger screen and an 8-MP back camera.
There is nothing unprecedented about Apple keeping an old iPhone model around as the cheaper model. It`s what they have been doing so far. The iPhone 4 being a great one, it will be quite a hit.
