If you are a Steve Jobs fan, then you must have been deeply saddened by the news of his passing away on October 5th, just one day after the “Let`s Talk iPhone” event in which the iPhone 4S was unveiled.

In honor of this brilliant visionary and his major contributions to the world of technology, the mayor of California has declared October 16th a new state holiday in his name according to a tweet by California governor Jerry Brown.

The holiday is meant as a recognition of his positive, and profound impact on the world as a whole and to celebrate the life of a revolutionary man.
