Verizon is currently working on releasing a strong LTE network with AT&T and Sprint trying to join the game, while Sprint has decided to introduce the LTE technology instead of its 4G network.
Let`s see where Apple`s stand on that matter. LTE is only offered by 35 networks around the world and Apple didn’t see that number compelling enough to produce 4G LTE smartphones, but now that Verizon is looking to introduce 4G service, AT&T growing their network, and Sprint starting the LTE network by mid-2012, Apple sees it the perfect timing to start invading the 4G market.
Apple was not eager to dive into the 4G market with the earliest 4G chips causing battery drainage since we all know Apple doesn’t compromise on functionality or performance. That`s why it decided to wait until the network is stabilized.
I guess with the 4G technology, we are to witness a revolution in the world of smartphones.
