Unlike most retailers who allow you to order their products online then head to the local store to collect it, a less time-consuming and a money-saving process, Apple doesn`t operate the same way.

If you`re looking to purchase a device directly from the Cupertino company, there are two ways to do it. Firslty you can log on Apple`s official website, order your product online then wait for Apple to send you designated times to receive your item which is inconvenient for many or you could head to your local store with your iconic Apple logo and buy the old-fashioned way. It’s time-consuming and won`t be very fruitful if your product is not in stock.

For example, if you live in San Francisco, log on Apple.com, place your order, and head for the checkout. Before you`re done, you`ll be asked if you`d like to collect “in stock” meaning the item will be delivered to your home or “select a store in San Francisco” which will allow you to choose a store to pick your item from once shipped.

It seems now that Apple is seeking to solve this annoying problem by testing a new purchase scheme known as Ship To Store, which will allow you to order your product online and then collect from your nearest local store “in-store”. The scheme is still in the trial period. Apple is still exploring how its value going forward.

Rumors have it the trial scheme will spread to other parts on the Bay Area within the coming days to spread throughout the United States in the next few months.
