It doesn’t make any sense and it could be simply a joke, but thought you should be on board. iPhone hacker Stefan Esser, known as i0n1c in the jailbreak community tweeted that he will be releasing an untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.3.5.
In case you are unfamiliar, a lot of users haven’t upgraded yet to iOS 5 simply because they want to wait for a final untethered jailbreak which Pod2G and the Chronic Dev Team are currently working on.
Some of those users are currently running iOS 4.3.5 which doesn’t have an untethered jailbreak since iOS 4.3.3 was the only firmware version with an untethered jailbreak. So, we are not exactly clear if Stefan made posted this tweet as a kind of light humor or if he seriously going for it.
It doesn’t make any sense now to waste time over an untethered jailbreak for 4.3.5 when an untethered for iOS 5.0.1 is on the way, but as you know i0n1c can be sometimes sarcastic and in some cases misunderstood.
Following a number of negative comments after his tweet, i01nc replied that he will do the jailbreak. We don`t know still whether to take him seriously or not.
