Have you ever wondered why we is it possible to mirror content on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch on your Apple TV, but not your Mac? Well, we have and so did a lot of users, but we still don`t know why Apple is restricting AirPlay Mirroring to Apple TV.

Now Airplay Mirroring your iDevice content onto your Mac is made possible with â€œReflection”. You can create a presentation and video stream it to your Mac in real time. Reflection is $14.99 for a single license or $39.99 for five.

Developers have been working around the clock to bring us the best product that could be and hopefully we are near a finalized product.Besides, Mirroring is not all what Reflection is offering, there`s full audio support along with video optimization and orientation features turning your Mac into an iPhone or an iPad.

TUAW`s Erica Sadun has been testing the product since its Alpha infancy, noting that Reflection has a few glitches, but it`s for great day-to-day use, mirroring your iPad as if you using an Xcode Simulator.

It may not seem as a big deal for those who own an Apple TV, but disappointing for those who only have Macs considering that the reason behind this restriction has not been explicitly stated, and that`s why we rely on developers to fill the gap Apple has created.

Reflection has a limited-time trial. Head to the developer`s site.
