It`s about time we get iOS 5.1. Judging by Apple`s history, the fruit company usually releases its new firmware updates during product launches and since we are having the iPad 3 media event tomorrow, we should see iOS 5.1 too.
Chronic Wire, in a report today updated us on the iOS 5.1 status:
“The Gold Master build of iOS 5.1 has been in a vigorous quality assurance phase for the past three weeks, with extensive testing being done internally by Apple has well as by various carriers/partners.â€
Considering the bug fixes users have encountered with iOS 5,notorious of which is the battery life bug, Apple should put this update to extensive testing.
All we know about iOS 5.1 so far is that it is rumored to bring an enhanced camera button and a Japanese Siri, but other than that we are left in the dark.
These are still speculations, but if true, we should be have iOS 5.1 seeded to developers in the next few days.
