The new Apple has a single-core A5 processor as Apple already announced before with the same 8GB flash storage like the second-generation model. The new Apple TV also received a pump in its RAM going to 512MB.
Although you might think Apple should have also upgraded its storage capacity beyond 8GB to accommodate larger 1080p video files, don`t forget Apple TV depends on streaming. So, file size is not that important.
Lastly, the new Apple TV contains a new antenna, but we are still not sure what it is used for exactly.
