iOS 5.1.1 is still making front page news due to the problems it poses for jailbreakers and unlockers. Yesterday, we posted about unlocking iPhone 4S GSM on iOS 5.1.1 with Gevey Ultra S interposer and today we have more good news for iPhone 4/3GS owners on older basebands who rely on software-based-unlock.

We going to walk you through the process of unlocking iPhone 4/3Gs on UltraSnow Fixer:
Step 1: Jailbreak Your iPhone on RedSnow on iOS 5.1.1 using custom firmware with old baseband preserved [HERE]
Step 2: Cydia: Browse to Manage > Sources.
Step 3: From Source: Select Edit > Add then type http://repo.iparelhos.com into the pop-up > press Add Source.
Step 4: Open the repo in the source list which will display theUltrasn0w Fixer 5.1.1 utility > Select the Fixer utility > Tap Install button.
Step 5: The latest official version of Ultrasn0w is version 1.2.5, needs to be installed:
- Select Search in Cydia
- Type in “Ultrasn0w” and search package
- Install it.
