A new jailbreak tweak means a new way. Today, a new one to mix things up a little bit. SpotLock is the latest jailbreak tweak that lets you to lock your iPhone simply to the spotlight search page on the iOS homescreen.
I know that all of you know how to lock your iPhones via pressing the sleep button on the top of the iPhone. SpotLock gives you an alternate way to do just that.
SpotLock jailbreak tweak is fairly simple to use with no settings menu or icons for you to launch:
- Swipe towards the left side on the iPhone homescreen towards the spotlight search page
- Instead seeing the regular searchbar, your iPhone would get locked and you would be taken to the lockscreen.
One can argue that the standard way of locking and unlocking the iPhone is pretty straightforward and simple, and it doesn’t get any easier than that, but still SpotLock might just appeal to you if you feel the need of doing it straight from the homescreen.
Note: While it’s true that if you use SpotLock jailbreak tweak, it would render you unable to use the spotlight search feature, but if you find yourself rarely using the said feature, then you can give SpotLock a try, which would let you lock your iPhone by simply swiping left towards the spotlight search page on the homescreen .
