There has been a lot of speculation over the fact that Apple will release a widescreen iPad. The rumors are based on the fact that the iPhone 5 has gotten an aspect ratio of 16:9 and it could be that Apple is working towards making the 4th-generation iPad wide screen as well. Pual Mueller [Los Angeles industry analyst] has some info and he says:
“I have talked to at least three people close to Apple who say that there are new iPad prototypes that have a 16:9 aspect ratio. They aren’t talking about the upcoming iPad mini either”
Apple had nothing to say on this claim and it seems like Apple would be pushing widescreens into the market from now on.
Tell us, would you prefer to have a widescreen iPad? True the movie watching experience would be a lot better. However there are people who like using the iPad in the portrait mode, would a widescreen bring about a lot of change?
