With the recent release of Google Maps for iOS6, the obvious next step was for someone to develop a tweak which allows you to set Google Maps as your default maps app. Well, there is now a tweak available to do just that. HASHBANG Productions has released a new tweak in Cydia for devices that are compatible with the iOS6 tethered jailbreak, called MapsOpener. MapsOpener allows you to set the recently released Google Maps app as your default maps application, effectively causing any map related links to open in Google Maps by default.
For those of us with unjailbreakable devices, we will still have to do things the manual way :/
