According to a new research data made by market research firm NPD, Apple sold over 56% of all ultrabooks in the first half of 2013. And those numbers don’t take into account the fact that Apple just released a new MacBook Air with Haswell technology inside that bumps the 13-inch MacBook Air to an astonishing 13 hours of battery life.
Regardless, the Windows laptop camp is hardly standing still. When speaking at the company’s Build conference this week, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer claimed that new Windows 8/8.1 hybrids with touch screens obviate the need for both a tablet and a laptop.
