Catching the thief was easy – all the police had to do was trace the owner of the cell phone. 25 Year old Travis Montgomery Snyder was arrested by Fairfax County police in Remington, Virginia last Monday after they traced the contract on the Galaxy back to him, according to a search warrant that had been issued.
Surveillance cameras were also in operation at the store, DMV Wireless, located in 7000 Block, Spring Garden Drive. Footage showed a man matching Snyder’s description on the premises. Police were called to the premises on February 19th following the report of the shop’s alarm going off. When they arrived they were confronted with the scene of a glass display case smashed, the contents missing – and Snyder’s Galaxy under a shower of broken glass.
