Yesterday, planetbeing came out to inform everyone that evad3rs, the team who made the iOS 6 untethered jailbreak possible, were going to start investigating the possibility of iOS 7 untethered jailbreak, and it looks like they don’t want to wait anymore.
The update made through Twitter revels that planetbeing has gained unsigned userland code execution, using some of the exploits that the team had in store. Now the team is on the mission to find out if those exploits are going to work in case of iOS 7.
Achieved unsigned userland code execution with some of our stuff in reserve. Now we have a good platform for poking the kernel.
Yes, they are just the baby steps towards the ultimate goal, but this tweet alone suggests that there’s a team out there that are going to work for the greater good of the jailbreak community. We also expect some information to surface from others in the jailbreak community in the coming few weeks, especially after the public release of iOS 7.
Imagine the possibility of customizing an already remarkable interface of iOS 7. Yes, it will be a dream comes true, but we have to wait patiently. Good things come to those who wait.
