Those who still waiting for iOS 7 public release should know that Apple will announce iOS 7 public release on September 18th, which means today, but when ? Almost all iOS 7 previous betas builds were released at 10am PDT (Pacific Time). All of Apple’s previous major iOS releases, including iOS 6.0, were released to public at 10am PT. If the release schedules of previous versions of iOS are anything to go by, it is safe to say that iOS 7 will be released to public today at 10am PT / 1pm ET in the United States.

iOS 7 release time will be different from one country to another.. For example the United Kingdom, 6pm British Summer Time (BST) is the time you need to make a note of. Before updating to iOS 7, it is very important to:

  • First backup your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch using iTunes or iCloud.
  • Save your SHSH blobs for iOS 6.1.3 / 6.1.4, 6.1.2 using a program like TinyUmbrella or iFaith to enable downgrades in future.
