Now Forbes reveals that they are also planning to include the iPhone.
The report suggests that those who trade-in iPhone 5 and iPhone 4s will also get a $200 store credit, and the validity is at stores in Canada and US.
Forbes reports:
According to an inside source at Microsoft, Microsoft Stores will begin giving a minimum $200 in-store credit for iPhones on Friday as part of its “#timetoswitch†campaign, obviously hoping consumers will use the cash to buy a Windows Phone.
Users would have to go for a Windows based handset when they trade-in the iPhone.
The effort may be able to convenience those who visit stores and don’t read online reports, but it will be pretty difficult as Apple users are brand loyal, and a new report suggests that they are pretty much satisfied with the new iOS 7. Furthermore, Places like Gazelle are offering better deals than Microsoft.
Moreover, Apple Stores themselves are offering trade-in program.
Microsoft also launched online program for iPhone, BlackBerry and Android and offered free Visa card.
We don’t think Microsoft would take away Apple fans that easily. It’s also not sure what Microsoft is planning to do with iPhones that are forgone. (Perhaps spy on the tech?). What do you think?
