Ming-Chi Kuo from KGI Securities has sent out a research note to investors informing about his expectations from the new line of Apple products.

According to him, the new Retina Display MacBook will come with design. He predicts the device to ship with a 12-inch screen (but portable as 11 inch MacBook air), a Retina Display, a small weight profile, a new structure made of clamshell, an Intel chipset and a price tag that is below the current notebook offerings from Cupertino. And he expects it to ship in the second or third quarter of 2013.

In case of the iMac, the expectation is a lower-cost model to take out Windows desktops, and shipping time is said to be second or third quarter of 2014. The analyst also expects the new iMac models to add to overall iMac sales by 10% to 20%.

As for the iPad 6, it has been purported to feature a 9.7-inch screen, the same as the iPad 4 and the upcoming iPad 5. The display will be 30-40% higher when it comes to screen resolution compared to the current Retina iPad 4. iPads with bigger screens have been rumored, but Kuo expects the screen resolution to get an upgrade rather than the screen size.

The prediction about MacBook with a 12-inch display screen matches the report from DisplaySearch, the source that says that Apple is going to introduce 12-inch MacBook Air and 4.7-inch/ 5.7-inch iPhone models in 2014.
