At the moment, iPad 5 shells and schematics as well as the Touch ID sensor have been leaked, and now new images have surfaced showcasing iPad Mini 2 and iPad 5 rare shells.
If there’s any validity to these leaks, Apple may provide the two new iPads in the gold color option, apart from space grey and white (colors that were previously leaked).
The Chinese site C Technology first published these photos, and Martin Hajek straight away called it iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2 in gold.
Here is the back shell of iPad 5:
The image above shows the rare shells of both iPads side by side and perhaps reveal that ZH is the maker of the shells. Sonny Dickson also published some images of the rear iPad 5 shell, indicating the device is set to adopt the thin design from iPad Mini.
C Technology leaks does hold weight because they were the first one to show iPhone 5c running Safari and some iPhone 5s packaging, which was similar in reality.
As for the features, both the iPads are expected to ship with a Retina Display, an 8-mp iSight snapper, Touch ID fingerprint and A6X/ A7X processor.
Apple is expected to send out invitations pretty soon.
Are you excited for the event?
