Senior VP for iOS and OS X Henri Lamiraux Retires From Apple

Things are going well for Apple. The iPhone 5s is doing quite well, the iPhone 5c is expected to pick up speed over the holiday quarter and consumers are pretty excited about the iPad Air and iPad Mini with Retina Display.

However, it’s not all good for the company’s staff team, as VP software engineering – iOS Apps & Frameworks, Henri Lamiraux, has taken retirement from the Cupertino Company. This was discovered through the former Apple man’s LinkedIn profile page, and later confirmed by Henri himself in an email to 9to5Mac.

He reveals that only retired some weeks ago after the iOS 7.0.3 was released and decided some time ago that his last release was going to come in the form of iOS 7.

For those who don’t know much about him, he was the man behind the new features that are implemented in iOS 7 and the development of native apps. His previous duties were first under the leadership of Scott Forstall, and then later under Craig Federighi, before he come the senior VP for iOS and OS X.

His retirement comes as a major loss for Apple.
