Alpine will reportedly launch CarPlay console later this year

Japanese car audio manufacturer Alpine Electronics will reportedly launch a standalone aftermarket CarPlay console later this year according to a report published by Nikkei. CarPlay is currently available on a handful of upcoming cars, but reports of third party manufacturers getting in on the action has been floating around for quite some time now.
