GforGames mention a batch of images, which originally surfaced on Weibo, showing the iPhone 6 molds and manufacturing equipment. It shows supposed models of the front and back of the device.
The rumor will is already confirming 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch iPhone releases for 2014.
New photos of iPhone 6 manufacturing molds have been released from Nowhereelse.fr, offering more detail, a device approx. 64mm * 138mm. This suggests a diagonal measurement of 4.7 inches, or 12 cm. This yields a device longer and wider than current 4.7-inch handsets in the market, and the iPhone 5s is 58.66mm * 123.8mm.
MacRumors translates:
Some of the holes that were drilled into the block in fact serve to fix the inserts which will form a crude which is then machined housing (finishes) using a CNC milling machine.
Thus, and assuming that my theory is correct, the dimensions of the box will be determined by the widest part and not the bottom of the mold.
At the moment, there is no way of confirming these photos belong to Apple’s upcoming handset. Macotakara from Japan said iPhone 6 will be 7mm tick, or half a millimeter thinner than iPad Air, although Apple could make it 7.5mm to accommodate a camera lens.
