We all know that both Apple and Samsung are on a huge and un-ended war from a long time… Today as a part from its new “Better” environmental campaign, Apple has just made a new print ad paper in the newspaper that seems to take a dig at Samsung and its rivals with whom it is locked in a bitter legal battle.

Pushing its ethos for renewable, green energy, the Apple advertisement notes that “there are some ideas we [Apple] want every company to copy” – a very blatant dig at Samsung. The ad itself shows a field full of solar panels, as well as a lengthy explanation of how the entire tech world needs to muck in to ensure the longevity of the planet.

Apple continues saying: “There’s one area where we actually encourage others to imitate us. Because when everyone makes the environment a priority, we all benefits.”

Here’s the full transcript of the ad courtesy 9to5Mac:

There’s one area where we actually encourage others to imitate us. Because when everyone makes the environment a priority, we all benefits. We’d be more than happy to see every data centre fuelled by 100% renewable energy sources. And we eagerly await the day when every product is made without the harmful toxins we have removed from ours.
Of course we know we can continue to do better. We’ve set some pretty ambitious goals for reducing our impact on climate change, making our products with greener materials and conserving our planet’s limited resources. So the next time we come across a great idea that can help leave the world better than we found it, we look forward to sharing.

Not all will take the opportunity to also take a few jabs at a rival, mind, and while the ad, found in UK newspapers such as The Guardian and the Metro, has good intentions, the bitterness and animosity felt between two of modern technology’s greatest rivals is plain for all to see.

The print ad has also been spotted in Germany, so we expect Apple to run the print ad in US newspapers as well. It will be great if you can share the photo of the ad if you spot one in the comments.

This is a nice move from Apple, right ?
