We’ve seen a number of dummy iPhone 6 units to date, along with cases, volume buttons, form factor, front and back panels, and numerous other parts.

Today you get to see another leak. It comes from China’s Weibo, and it shows a supposed screen backlight part for the upcoming iPhone. It measures the one on the iPhone 5c/5s, and measures 4.7-inches diagonally.

The first image shows the difference between backlight panel in 4.7-inch and 4.0 inch. The parts are used in mobile devices in display units requiring backlight, such as iPads and iPhones utilizing LCD IPS screen technology.

But we suggest you to take these shots with a pinch of salt.

Steve Hemmerestoffer from NowhereElse.fr noted he couldn’t confirm the authenticity of these images because there is no reliability of the source. The gossip is that Apple will be releasing the new iPhone in two sizes – 4.7-inch model and 5.5-inch model.

Of course, Apple can also keep their current 4-inch iPhone 5s/5c/5 on the market, or even upgrade them with good hardware for making the form-factor transition easier for app developers.

Apple has been said to shrink the iPhone 6 thickness from 7mm to 6mm. Several sources have indicated that the slimmer body was realized by switching to thin LED backlights and using a device frame that’s lighter.
