As we are getting very near to iPhone 6 launch, it looks like that Apple is so confident that its next generation iPhone 6 will be very fast selling handset and it is reportedly ordered a massive 68 million iPhone 6 units ahead of the Fall launch.

According to a Chinese report, Apple is expecting high demand for the handset. It’s not just the case of pent-up demand, however.

Provided rumors are true, this Fall will bring the first iPhablet in the form of a 5.5-inch iPhone 6, a popular form factor that should help bring customer who have switched over to Samsung back into the fold…

GforGames points us to Taiwan’s Business Weekly reports [Google translate] mentioning an unprecedented amount of orders ahead of the iPhone 6′s launch this Fall.

The shipments is going to be between 60 and 80 million units.. Business Weekly estimated that the first batch of iPhone 6 shipments will be of at least 68 million units, or twice as much compared to orders for the iPhone 5 in 2012.

“Foxconn and Pegatron’s chairmen, Terry Gou and Tung Tsu-hsien respectively, have supposedly been notified by Apple in regards to the production plan since the second week of June,” notes the story.

Apple’s boss Tim Cook frequently hinted at amazing new products this year. If the company is anticipating a twofold increase in demand volume for the iPhone 6 versus the iPhone 5/5s, it must be really confident that it has a smash hit on its hands.
