Facebook introduces Mentions app for actors, athletes and other public figures

With nearly 800 million people connected to public figures on Facebook, it can be difficult for actors, athletes and other public figures to interact and communicate with their fans on the social network. To improve that experience, Facebook on Thursday announced availability of its new Mentions app for public figures with verified pages in the United States.
