Pangu untethered jailbreak is one of the newest and most popular jailbreak tools that works on iOS 7.1.x devices. The tool has now been reverse engineered to work and support latest iOS 8 beta. A user on reddit called w0rldello claims to have patched the Pangu binary to add the capability to jailbreak iOS 8.

At first glance, we thought it is fake and he is just another ambitious person that we meet almost everyday. As a proof, the w0rldello posted screenshots of the Pangu app icon along with the redesigned iOS 8 Control Center, as well as the Pangu Mac app showing an iPhone 5s contacted that is running iOS 8.

He says that Apple has patched the exploits used in Pangu 1.0.x, but the vulnerabilities used in Pangu 1.2.x remain unpatched in iOS 8 betas. The concern however is that whether these vulnerabilities would remain present in iOS 8 GM or the final public version of iOS 8.

You may not believe this, but keep in mind that from a month ago, BlackGeek, developer of Geeksn0w, had teased a similar unofficial version of Pangu that claimed to work with iOS 8 beta 1 and beta 2, but we didn’t hear much about it later.

Of course, no one can say that the above screenshot is 100% true…

What do you think guys ?
