According to a series of images that have made their way online, it looks like that a group of people have already pre-ordered cases for their upcoming iPhone 6 device are getting them ahead of the device’s launch. It should be noted that while shipping vendors have been told ahead of time, as usual, to hold back deliveries of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus proper, no such regulation is in place for the cases. As a result, the first images are starting to crop up from the lucky buyers who have already received their own.
The above picture shows a leather skin case made for iPhone 6 Plus, it was published by iLounge. The case itself looks similar to the leather accessories that were released alongside the iPhone 5s in 2013, with the same microfiber interior to help protect the iPhone inside. However, the big difference is at the bottom, where the area is now open, instead of enclosed with specific holes for ports/speakers, as was the case with the iPhone 5s case.
Another picture was posted by a MacRumors user which shows off their black leather case for the iPhone 6 Plus, and others within the publication’s forums have said they’ve already received their iPhone 6 cases as well. And, finally, a Reddit poster has published images of the cases not only for the iPhone 6, but also for the iPhone 6 Plus, comparing their size to one another, as well as how they look inside his hand.
