iPhone 6 Plus is considered the largest Apple smartphone to have a better retina display, a larger screen and a nicer resolution. Apple’s new iPhone 6 Plus comes with a 5.5-inch retina HD display with 1920 x 1080 resolution and pixel density of 401 pixels-per-inch (ppi).
There are many great advantages of the bigger screen size in Apple’s iPhone 6 Plus, as they behave more like a smaller iPad than a bigger iPhone, which can help in improving productivity, especially while using it in landscape mode.
What you don’t know, there is many great things and advantages that makes iPhone 6+ better in a landscape mode.
1) Bigger screen
A bigger screen size means a closer look to everything from details.. What is important to be note is that the usable screen area excluding the keyboard (and QuickType) when in landscape mode is a whopping 89% bigger than the iPhone 5s. It was quite difficult to use apps in landscape mode on the iPhone 5s/5c/5, but thanks to the bigger screen, you can comfortably use your iPhone 6 Plus or iPhone 6 in landscape mode for writing emails editing documents, messaging and lots more.

2) Split screen
One of the greatest things I like the most in iPhone 6 Plus landscape mode is the ‘Split screen’ feature.. Using this feature, you will be able to use apps like Messages, Mail, contacts, etc… in split screen. So in the Mail app, instead of going back to the list view to check a new mail, you can now tap on the new mail in the list view to the left.
You can access Safari’s cool new tab view in landscape mode on iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus such as:
- You can switch to the new tab view in Safari with a two or three-finger pinch gesture.
- With the new tab view, you can now close a tab by swiping to the left.
- There is another cool new gesture in Safari that allows you to switch tabs. Pinch with two or three fingers, which will show you the tab view, but without releasing your fingers, drag to the left or right to switch tabs. It may take you a few attempts to master this one.
