After the public release of iOS 8, we’ve seen many reports saying that iPhone 4S users may notice more than just slower performance after updating to iOS 8. So what’s it like to upgrade from iOS 7.1.2 to the latest iOS 8.0.2 software update?

Earlier today a YouTube user called kabriolett has published a video that gives you a good idea what it is like upgrading an iPhone 4S to iOS 8.0.2 from iOS 7.1.2. The YouTuber points out the speed test was carried out on two freshly restored iPhone 4s units.

After watching the video below, you will notice that iPhone 4S on iOS 7.1.2 is running slightly faster than the one on iOS iOS 8.0.2.

But it seems quite marginal expect while opening the App Store, which seems to take a little longer to open on iOS 8.0.2. It is quite possible that iOS 8.0.2 includes performance improvements for older devices like iPhone 4S.

This video is great for people who are on iOS 7.1.2 and still thinking about upgrading to iOS 8… Be careful because once you upgrade, there is no return back..
