Report claims Retina iPad Mini 2 to be unveiled alongside iPad Air 2 at October 16 event

With less than three days until Apple hosts its October 16th media event at the Cupertino-based company’s Town Hall auditorium, a new report from hit-and-miss Japanese blog Macotakara claims that Apple will announce the second-generation iPad mini with Retina display alongside the iPad Air 2 and new Smart Cover and Smart Case colors.
