According to the sources of Mac Otakara, the iPad Pro will come with a 12.2-inch display instead of the rumored 12.9-inch. The tablet will also have a form-factor that is similar to Microsoft’s Surface Pro series of tablets and is being developed to compete against the it.
The source also suggests that the Pro will use a design language that will be similar to the recently unveiled iPad Air 2 and will come with front-facing speakers that might support stereo sound. It will also sport a microphone on its top and bottom end. While the tablet will not be as thin as the iPad Air 2 (6.1mm), it will still sport a waistline that is around 7mm thick.
It’s believed Apple wanted to launch the so-called iPad Pro this fall, but due to complexities in the project and resource demand for the new iPhones, it was forced to push it back until early 2015. The tablet is expected to focus on productivity, aiming at the Microsoft Surface Pro and similar devices.
