Finally pangu team released pang untether jailbreak for iOS 8/8.1 with full support for Mac OS. So right now Mac users who have been waiting for many weeks can now enjoy using pangu tool on their machines…

In this post we are going to show you a simple and easy guide on how to jailbreak iOS 8 using pangu for Mac. This post is made on iPhone, but of of course you can try it on any other devices running on iOS 8.0-iOS 8.1…

Note: To avoid potential issues, it is recommended that you restore your iPhone using iTunes prior to jailbreaking, if you had previously updated to iOS 8.1 over the air. If you had already updated to iOS 8.1 via iTunes, then you’re good to go. Also make sure you backup your device before jailbreaking. In case something goes wrong, you’ll still be able to restore from backup.

STEP 1: Download Pangu tool for Mac.

STEP 2: Now double click on the DMG file and extract it on your Mac’s desktop.

STEP 3: Right click on the Pangu8 app and choose Open.

STEP 4: Now plug-in your iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch via the USB cable. (Make sure that the pangu tool recognize your device.).

STEP 5: Click the Start Jailbreak button. Pangu will then display three different warnings, as you can see on the screenshot below. Make sure you read and understand everything here, and make sure you put your iPhone in Airplane Mode, then click Already Did.

STEP 6: Now pangu tool will start the jailbreaking process, which might take a few minutes. You might be asked to turn off Find My iPhone during the process. If that’s the case, just turn it off.

STEP 7: At some point, your iPhone screen will show a Slide to Upgrade slider. Just slide and let Pangu continue.

STEP 8: Now your iPhone should reboot, and once it boots up again, you should see Cydia and the pangu app installed on your device..

STEP 9: Congratulations, you’ve just jailbroken your iPhone running on iOS 8 using pangu tool for Mac.
