In case you are running on iOS 8.0 or higher, many users have been reporting that they face many issues with the Wifi connectivity. Apple released iOS 8.1.1 which already fixed the Wifi issues and increased the stability improvements for both iPad 2 and iPhone 4S. However, if you haven’t upgraded to iOS 8.1.1 because you don’t want to lose your jailbreak, then we’ve got some good news for you..

Mario Ciabarra, developer of jailbreak apps and tweaks such as MyWi, IntelliScreen, Messages+ has tweeted that he plans to release a fix for the Wi-Fi issues for iOS 8.1 on Cydia soon. He however points out that it will be a temporary fix, as a permanent one would need a kernel patch.

iOS 8.1 WiFi: Have a working temporary fix/will beta. Believe I have exhausted all possibilities of true fix w/o kernel patch. More later

iOS 8.1 WiFi Fix Update: Verified issue also affects non-jailbroken i5/5s/6 (possibly 6+). Fix will be free– more to come.

The fix will be available for free on Cydia. While we have to see if the patch will indeed fix the Wi-Fi issues on iOS 8.1, this is one of the reasons we love the jailbreak community. Someone will always step up to provide a patch for an iOS bug or vulnerability, and quite often even before Apple addresses them.

You will be able to fix Wifi issues on your device very soon.. we will keep you updated..
