iPhone beats Android in U.S. smartphone sales for the first time in three years

Record demand for Apple’s latest iPhones have helped it beat rival Android-powered smartphones in U.S. sales for the first time in three years — but only just. While the company’s iOS devices accounted for 47.7 percent of the sales, Android handsets accounted for 47.6 percent.
