Dozens of American Airlines flights were grounded after an iPad app issue

An issue with the onboard iPads used by American Airlines pilots grounded “a few dozen flights” on Tuesday night, leaving hundreds of passengers stuck on a runway for several hours. The devices were unable to retrieve flight plans, and many flights had to return to the gate to access a Wi-Fi network.
