Today during the WWDC 2015 keynote, Apple took the wraps off of OS X El Capitan, the sucessor to OS X Yosemite 10.10. Apple CEO Tim Cook and his team of executives unveiled several new features OS X that will land when the next version of the desktop operating system is rolled out sometime this year. OS X El Capitan saw major refinements in Spotlight search and integrated apps such as Mail and Photos.

Safari Pin Tabs
In Safari, you can pin a website.

Pin Tabs have a dedicated icon left to the tab bar. If a tab plays audio, there’s a new option to see what website is playing and can mute it with a click of the mouse button.

  • New gestures make it easier than ever to do quick actions like deleting a message in Mail


● Spotlight now searches more places for even more useful results, including weather and sports scores.

● El Capitan makes many areas of the OS run faster
