As noted by Kirk McElhearn of MacWorld, and originally published on McElhearn’s personal blog Kirkville, GarageBand for Mac is getting a nice update on June 30 — the same day that Apple Music is set to launch. McElhearn published that Apple would be adding new features to the app, including new fine-tuning elements within the Piano Roll Editor feature, as well as new Smart Controls:
“Capture your changes in real time by adjusting any of your software instruments’ Smart Controls while recording a performance. You can also fine‑tune your music later in the Piano Roll Editor.“
These new features, as mentioned above will rollout on June 30, but it appears they’ll initially only be available in the United States. Apple’s GarageBand website, which was recently updated to reflect the upcoming changes, indicates that the new features will rollout to other countries “soon.â€
