After the great news we’ve heard about releasing TaiG version 2.1.2 which was released to fix Cydia Substrate on iOS 8.3, UI cache and other bugs. Right now we are going to show you a simple and easy guide on how to jailbreak your iPhone running on iOS 8.3, 8.2, 8.1.3 using TaiG v2.1.2…

Existing users jailbroken using TaiG 2.0:

We have good news for you! You don’t need to jailbreak again from scratch to get all the updates which are part of TaiG 2.1.2 release. Here’s what you need to do:

Follow these instructions to install the TaiG 8.3-8.1.3 Untether package:

  • Open Cydia and tap on the Sources tab.
  • Tap on Edit on the left, and then tap on Add at the right.
  • You’ll get an alert with a URL field. Enter “apt.taig.com” (after the http://) and tap on Add Source.
  • Now Cydia will add the repo, and fetch packages from this repo.
  • Now search for TaiG 8.1.3-8.x Untether from the Search tab, and install it.

New jailbreakers:
If you haven’t jailbroken using TaiG yet, it’s time to do so as fresh new version is out now and it fixes all of the major issues which were part of initial release. TaiG 2.1.2 support all iPhones, iPads and iPod touches running iOS 8.3, iOS 8.2 and iOS 8.1.3.

Step 1: Download TaiG 2.1.2 from our downloads page; save and extract it to your desktop

Step 2: Connect your iOS 8.3 device to your computer

Step 3: Launch TaiG 2.1.2

Step 4: Uncheck the 3K assistant checkbox

Step 5: Click Start to begin the jailbreak

Once the jailbreak completes, launch Cydia to start the Cydia initialization process. Congratulations, you are now jailbroken on iOS 8.3 with a working Cydia Substrate!
