In addition to new OS X El Capitan and watchOS 2 betas, Apple also released a new iOS 9 beta to developers on Wednesday. The software carries build number 13A4293f, and is available to developers either via an over-the-air update in the Settings app, or as a standalone download in Apple’s developer portal.

As Eddy Cue had promised, Apple has just released iOS 9 beta 3 (build number: 13A4293f) for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch to developers.

According to the release notes, iOS 9 beta 3 includes bug fixes and improvements. Eddy Cue had tweeted last week that iOS 9 beta 3 will offer full support for Apple Music, Apple’s streaming music service, which was launched last week along with iOS 8.4.

iOS 9 beta 3 is currently available only to registered developers of Apple’s Developer Program. Apple will be releasing the public beta this month,

There was quite a bit added into iOS 9’s third beta, as has been discovered by those that have already begun picking through the newest beta software. The first of which is the inclusion of Apple Music into iOS 9, which was publicly released with the launch of iOS 8.4 on June 30. The beta platform also includes Apple News, which Apple officially announced during its keynote at this year’s Worldwide Developers Conference. Here are the new additions:

  • Apple News
  • Apple Music
  • Selfie and Screenshots folders in the Photos app
  • Music Settings — A new option to stream “highest quality” songs while over a cellular connection is now present
  • iPad folders now present app icons in 4×4, instead of 3×3
  • Revamped two-factor authentication with iOS 9 and OS X El Capitan

iOS 9 is compatible with the following iOS devices:

  • iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5, iPhone 4S
  • iPad Air 2, iPad Air, iPad 4, iPad mini, iPad 3, iPad 2
  • iPad mini 3, Retina iPad mini (iPad mini 2), iPad mini
