Once you update to macOS Sierra, life with that 128 GB SSD MacBook is going to be much easier. I personally found that simply upgrading to macOS Sierra made the mysterious “Other” tab that took up around 20 GB of space, disappear. But the highlight in Sierra is the new tool for analyzing and managing storage space. And you can do all of it from one window. No need to download third party tool either.
