Apple: App Store Generated over $3 Billion in Revenue in December; January 1st Generated $240 Million in App Sales

Apple today announced that December was the biggest month for the App Store in terms of sales and revenue. The store had a total revenue of $3 billion from all forms of purchases, including in-app purchases and subscriptions. In addition, Apple notes that January 1, 2017 was the busiest day for the App Store ever with customers making total purchases of $240 million.
