CCLowPower

So I’ve installed CCLowPower on my iPod touch 6 iOS 10.2. And when I turn it on in the control center, it changes my battery color to yellow and I receive low power mode notifications. My question is, does this tweak actually enable low power mode on my iPod touch which is not officially supported on this device, or it just work as a visual tweak on my device?
