According to a new report from TechCrunch, It looks like that Facebook is testing a new dislike button for Messenger. Facebook users probably have noticed that when hovering over messages in chat, tapping the emoji button offered various reactions including thumbs-up Like, thumbs-down Dislike, heart eyes, lol, wow, sad, or angry. Everyone in thread can see the reaction counted below the message it’s attached to. You can also see a full list of who left which Reaction.

Facebook confirmed the new feature saysing, “We’re always testing ways to make Messenger more fun and engaging. This is a small test where we enable people to share an emoji that best represents their feelings on a message.”

The company told TechCrunch it sees the Dislike button as more of a ‘no’ button. Often Messenger is used to make plans and the reaction could be used for quick logistics and voting.
