This new set of leaks photos do not provide any glimpse at high-resolution images or renders of the upcoming handsets or any in-depth technical specifications, rather the leaker has posted a set of wireframes of the devices giving a clear look at the actual dimensions of the devices.
If real, the images clearly show the Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S8 is slightly slimmer narrower (68mm) than its predecessors the Galaxy S7 (69.9mm) and S6 (70.5mm). The larger Galaxy S8 Plus is measured at 74mm making it the widest among the lot, but only 0.1mm wider than the explosive Galaxy Note 7. Height wise, the Galaxy S8 Plus will be the tallest among the siblings measuring at 159mm. It’s interesting to note that the Galaxy S8 packs a 5.8-inch display, whereas the Galaxy S7 has a 5.2-inch display panel, but it will add 6mm only to the overall length of the device while still being narrower than the siblings.
When compared to the iPhone 7 Plus – which has a 5.5-inch display, the Galaxy S8+ with 6.2-nch display still manages to be narrower than the iPhone 7 Plus by a good 3.90mm. And for the Galaxy s8 with a 5.8-inch display, Samsung has managed to keep it less than 1mm wider than the 4.7-inch iPhone 7.
