Jailbreak iPhone 6+ On IOS 10.1

So i get confused about which phones can be jailbroken and on which IOS versions? I have tried to find a good answer online.

So it seems there is a jailbreak for IOS 10.2, but i am currently on IOS 10.1 and if i update now it will update to IOS 10.2.1 which i guess is not jailbreakable?

And the jailbreak for IOS 10.1 requires an iPhone SE, 6S or 7.
So there seem to be no way for me to jailbreak my iphone 6+ on IOS 10.1?

Have i understood it correct?
