Now that the Galaxy S8/S8+ are close to their official launch and everyone is excited about the device’s elegant look and awesome specs, the question is: can this latest upcoming device last a day on a full charge? The answer is as always Complicated as we all know that this depends on the usage of the device.

Different testing has been done on the latest Galaxy device by PhoneArena and the results show how the S8+ differs from other devices such as iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, S7 edge and Google Pixel XL. As a positive result, it’s a “YES” for the Android users that they will get some of best from Samsung when it comes to battery life of their latest smartphone. But, the results also reveals that it’s not as good as the 6 months old Apple iPhone 7 Plus.

The Galaxy S8+ battery life test result stands at exactly 8 hours. Compare this with the 7 hours and 18 minutes scored by the Galaxy S7 Edge and you will see that Samsung has managed to improve on their last year’s phone. The S8+ also bests the Google Pixel XL, the OnePlus 3T. But when compared to Apple’s larger iPhone 7 Plus, the S8+ will run out of juice one hour and 5 minutes earlier.

It’s worth mentioning here that the Samsung’s Galaxy S8 is powered by Exynos 8895 (and some units with Qualcomm’s processor). These processors are very power efficient as these are fabricated on a smaller ten-nanometer process technology.
